Boston Macho Fern – Nephrolepsis Hanging Basket

Macho because it’s the largest Boston fern available! Reaching up to 2m across and 1.8m long, this plant is Beauty and Beast all in one. With dark green foliage and weeping fronds, Macho ferns really create a lush tropical feel in any space. Ideally suited to hanging pots and baskets, this fern is equally at home on top of a shelf or plant stand. As with most ferns, Macho’s don’t like drying out and are best kept away from air conditioners. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M Indoor & Patio Slow Release fertiliser at half the recommended application rate.

 

Water: Keep moist by watering when only the very top of the soil becomes dry.

 

Sun: Bright indirect is ideal, but morning sun will add a boost. Keep away from westerly windows.

 

Soil: Well-draining, fertile indoor mix. We recommend using The Home Plant Co Indoor Potting Mix.
