Bottlebrush – Callistemon Viminalis Slim

Callistemon Slim is the perfect bottlebrush for tight planting spaces. Profuse buds develop during spring, with bright red bottlebrushes lasting from spring through summer and again later in autumn. Ideally planted as screens, hedges, windbreaks,  along driveways or a feature in tight spaces. Extremely tolerant of drought, cold, frost and heat. Recommended density of 1-1.5 plants per linear metre. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M Native Slow Release fertiliser. Reaches 3m height and 1.3m width at maturity.

 

Water: Water well and often when freshly planted. Drought tolerant once established. Mulch well.

 

Sun: Full sun to part shade.

 

Soil: Sandy, free draining soils making it perfectly suited to the Perth environment. Enrich with organic matter for an added boost to growth. We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner prior to planting.
