String Of Pearls – Senecio Variegated

A unique and beautiful trailing plant, variegated String of Pearls can grow to 1.8m long, making it best suited to growing in baskets or hanging pots. In its native environment it creeps along the ground growing in the shade of rocks in Cape Provinces of South Africa, forming dense mats. A popular houseplant, it is mildly succulent so be sure not to water too frequently. Versatile with light tolerance, String of Pearls is happy growing both indoors and outdoors. Keep out of hot westerly windows or full afternoon sun exposure.

 

Water: Dry tolerant. With excellent drainage as a must, it should only be watered when the soil becomes dry.

 

Sun: Indoors bright indirect to full sun (North, South or East facing windows). Outdoors in full shade, full morning sun or dappled positions. Keep out of Westerly facing windows or afternoon sun exposure.

 

Soil: Well-draining, fertile indoor mix. We recommend using The Home Plant Co Indoor Potting Mix.
